This month we were asked to provide the catering for a winter wedding with a difference! Rachel and Tam decided that their family friend’s dairy farm was the perfect location for their wedding – and we couldn’t agree more! The venue of Bidlea dairy farm in rural Cheshire was just gorgeous – and owned by possibly the nicest family friends you could wish for.
The food for the day was an international affair – Aussie Tam and Bramhall girl Rachel chose a menu that perfectly reflected their two cultures.
Below is their menu for the day and a few snaps (we got a bit carried away with the venue this time and more or less forgot to take pics of the food!)
Smoked Salmon Blinis, Goats cheese and Beetroot Mousse Crostini, Vietnamese Chicken Skewers
Roasted Butternut Squash and Pearl Barley Soup
~ served with chunky bread ~
Chicken, Asparagus and Wild Mushroom Pie
Fresh Salmon Filo Pie
Spinach, Beetroot, Pine Nut and Feta Filo Pie
Goat Curry, Served with Basmati Rice
Buttered Seasonal Vegetables
Rosemary and Garlic Roasted New Potatoes
~ served tapas style ~
Selection of British and French Cheeses, Served With Chutney, Crackers and Grapes
Chef’s Mini Treats – Brownies, Macaroons, Shortbread
We were delighted to be part of a day so special to not only the couple but their friends and family. With a new life in Australia ahead for the Rachel and Tam, it was an emotional affair. We wish them the very best for their new life down under.
