Barbeque Wedding Catering

At Fairfield Moravian Settlement

27.10.2014

When we were first approached about doing the wedding catering at Fairfield Moravian Settlement, we had one question…’where?!’  Yet once we’d taken a closer look, we quickly realised that we had probably come across this place before…

The settlement, built around its church, opened in 1785 and functioned as a self-contained village with its own inn, shop, bakery, farm, laundry, fire-engine, night-watchman and its own doctor. Remaining largely untouched to this day – still featuring its original cobbled streets and Georgian homes and architecture, approaching the settlement is like taking a step back in time…So much so that the square has been used as the film set for period productions including Foyles War, Sherlock Holmes and more recently, Manchester United’s new kit promo video.

With the autumnal colours on the trees and a mildness in the air, it was the perfect wedding day for Sean and Chagit. And with Australian Sean being hundreds of miles away from his native home for his wedding day, we brought the Aussie to Manchester with a full-on barby! Here are some pics of their happy day…

Huge congratulations to Sean and Chagit – thanks for choosing us to be part of your special day and for introducing us to this fab venue – surely one of Manchester’s best kept secrets! x
